The murder of an emigre Soviet General, who was also a British agent, sends Smiley burrowing back into the past on a trail that leads across Europe to the wily Karla in Moscow.
Adapted in seven parts by Rene Basilico, it was aired on BBC Radio 4 in the Spring of 1990 and released as an audio cassette.
